OUR COMMITTEE
PRESIDENT

Edith Nnotum is the current President of CUGIA. She is a 2nd year Law student from Magdalene College. Edith came to power at the end of her first year with a promise to re-vamp CUGIA, a project currently underway. Edith is of Nigerian-Igbo descent and takes pleasure in philosophy, law, dramatic performances, people, cultural exploration and the workings of the human mind. Edit also is a devotee of sports and it is not unusual to see her running in the early mornings, no matter the weather, around Magdalene College and Jesus Green.
JUNIOR TREASURER

Horatiu Druma is the current Junior Treasurer of CUGIA. He is also a 2nd year Law Student from Magdalene College. He is an ardent supporter of continual self-improvement and applies the principle to CUGIA as well. Alongside Edith he plans on creating a new, bigger, better CUGIA which will serve a wider audience. He is of Romanian background and and has a keen interest in rowing, law, architecture, travel, languages, politics, cooking, squash and activism. Principled and a perfectionist he always tries to give his all. On Friday evenings he is known to sit for a Hookah session with friends discussing their weeks and recent world events
SENIOR TREASURER

Louise Merrett is CUGIA's senior treasurer. A Law lecturer from Trinity, she supervises Conflict of Laws and supervises and lectures Commercial law. Her publications include Private International Law of Insurance and Reinsurance (LLP Professional Publishing), "Costs as Damages" [2009] LQR 468 and "The importance of delivery and possession in the passing of title" [2008] CLJ 376 amongst others.
